If you have been a regular to College Sports Matchups you are obviously seeing changes. As a regular web surfer it is sometimes frustrating to be surprised by a new layout on a favorite page. Even more frustrating is trying to figure out just how the new layout is better. With that in mind, it is only appropriate for us to explain how the site is different and why.

I will start with why we felt a layout change was necessary. Our goal is to provide you a one stop resource to stay informed about college football and basketball. After we reviewed the pages being visited by our guests the statistical information and matchup pages were not clearly seen by many users of the site. From feedback provided by some of our most loyal guests we also knew these pages were the reason they kept visiting the site on a regular basis.

After evaluating page views and feedback we decided to give this information a greater presence for our guests. You will find stat information is given a greater presence on almost every page. The Matchup links have been moved from a sidebar location to a primary position on key pages(this particular change will be made on Tuesday evening, March 9).

We have also changed the overall appearance of the site as well. There are two primary reasons for this. First, the old site was very text heavy. This made it hard to easily find what you were looking for. With our new site the graphic changes make it easier to find the news you are most interested in. Basketball and football have also been separated into categories so you can more quickly determine which sport a story is related to. The other big change is the color scheme. The benefit to you as a user will be a site that loads more quickly and less strain on your eyes. Our background color was picked specifically to reduce the stress of reading content on College Sports Matchups.

There are other changes coming as well. We will be increasing our original content, with even more writers taking a look at the world of college sports. Soon you will also find more feedback opportunities, including the opportunity to post your own blog on the site. These are just two examples of what will be an expanding site for college fans.

Here is the big question: What would you like to see improved at College Sports Matchups? This is your site and our goal is to provide the content you want.

Thanks for visiting. We appreciate your spending some of your day with us.
